My angel ocs follow a completely different narrative and story than my main ones (any similarities u find is mainly because it was an AU, and i'm, unfortunately, too lazy to give out new names or designs). You might be wondering what the story is about then, BEWARE! This story heavily references the Bible because I wanted them to be as close to canon lore as possible. If you don't like that these ocs probably aren't for you :(
The story starts off with Jacob in the events of Genesis 6:1-4 "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose." Him and a few other angels went down from heaven to meet with the human women, taught them forbidden knowledge and reproduced with them. The women gave birth to these giant hybrids called Nephilim, who were not only pillaging raging monsters but they also sided with the "enemies of the hebrews." Upon finding out about this, God became so angry he threw these angels into pits to be chained in darkness (as well as stripping them of their human forms, which they abused), but he also flooded the earth killing the Nephilim and nearly every living thing on the planet (if it wasn't for Noah.)
Jacob was chained for many years in the pit, his wings becoming filthy and unkept and his hair messy, not being able to dust himself off due to being completely bound to the floor. Until a group of demons came to release him, before he could celebrate however the demons informed him he'd now have to officially abide with hell, as he cannot be a free roaming fallen angel without belonging to a sort of group (he cannot go back to heaven anyways so)... Since demons all have a sort of role or task in how they spread sin, Jacob was appointed a "blood demon", which simply put cursed him with hunger but only for blood. This would ultimately cause him to go on a hunger rampage, since neither demons nor angels are mortal they have no need to eat, so this was unpleasantly new to him. After being sent on his first mission and killing a man and a white dove (symbolic) he decided all that killing wasn't for him and swore it off, deciding he'd rather wander earth with the eternal pain of hunger rather than kill another being (without reporting back to hell of course)
God finds out this demon is now wandering earth without any supervision, so he sends down one of his highest ranking angels (the Seraphim, Isaiah 6) Luka down to watch over this demon, making sure he doesn't go on a rampage. Angels are extremely powerful so he'd definitely be able to neutralize Jacob if he started acting up. Luka, who adores God with his entire hypothetical heart, went down to earth with confidence that he'd be able to complete the mission with utmost perfection. However upon actually meeting the demon in person he comes to realize he's (sadly) not a threat. Luka at first was very disappointed and a pretty hateful toward Jacob for being a demon, considering they're seen as traitors and rambunctious, and of course Jacob not tolerating the slander hated him back. However being that Luka was stuck with him until he completes his mission (overachiever being met with an impossible task? Symbolism hrmm..) they had plenty of room to grow and bond, which they did. They slowly come to realize that they're the only ones of their kind who have had a relationship like this, they become sorta like friends, and after thousands of years they develop feelings.
This is where the main conflict arises, Luka knows if he acts on sin he'd be none the wiser and get sent down to hell (it has been shown angels have free will and clearly have wants and desires a couple times in the Bible), and although he loves Jacob he doesn't wish to give up his position. So without communicating they come up with a sort of love language, symbolism. The only way God wouldn't be able to find out about their feelings would be through symbolic gestures and behaviors, which they both mastered with how many years have gone by. The Bible has, if not entirely, metaphorical and symbolic undertones. A good example of this is the image you see below:
